Horror cult classics #3 The Greasy Strangler (2016)

An absolute riot, you won’t have seen ANYTHING like Jim Hosking’s debut The Greasy Strangler. There’s also images that won’t leave your brain, mostly involving Big Ronnie (a fan-bloody-tastic Michael St. Michaels) and a gigantic prosthetic.

Big Ronnie and his very strange son Big Brayden (Sky Elobar) are disco tour con artists and pro ‘bullshit artists’. Big Ronnie makes his son cook him exceptionally greasy food and he also completely covers his naked body in grease before he kills people; hence he becomes known as ‘The Greasy Strangler’ (ding!). But then hootie tootie disco cutie Janet (a game Elizabeth De Razzo) appears on the scene…

The death scenes are truly hilarious and weird – there’s some great OTT eye popping – and it all makes really no sense whatsoever. It’s perfect. Elijah Wood was a producer – naturally. Get greasy.
